SALT LAKE CITY- -As the 184th General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints draws to a close, many of the LDS faithful are taking this chance to reflect on what has come before, and wonder about what’s to come.  We caught up with some as they left the conference, to ask them to bear witness to all they had seen and felt this week.

“This is my first time here, and yesterday I was all like ‘OMH, this is incredible, all my favorites are under one roof.’ It’s like Coachella for the elders.  It’s Coachelders.” – Amber Syndyne, 19, Davis County.

“I just appreciate the speakers so much.  They really help remind me about love, Jesus, Jesus’s love, the love that can only be experienced through the intervention of Jesus, working for Jesus on the cause of love, loving for Jesus through Jesus, and all the other love/Jesus combinations that I take for granted the rest of the year.” – Susan Thompson, 41, Sugarhouse.

“Me? I value solemnity above all else. And at conference, I can get my solemn on like Solomon.” – Dr. Richard Francis-Took, 53, Syracuse, New York.

“I don’t get it.” – Robert Steffen, 31, American Fork.

“Other religions might only get to celebrate their faith once a year, for the usual holidays. Christmas, Easter, maybe Passover if you won the ethnic lottery. But in Utah, we’re a little different. We’re semi-annual. I’d say that makes us at least semi-special.” – Kayden Jacobs, 27, St. George.
